Fully Focused, in the Heart of the Crowd, Surrounded by Power and Voltage — That’s Erdung.
The music does what it wants. Erdung wires up his analog modular synthesizers, and rhythms and sounds emerge freely in the moment — without a computer, improvised and spontaneous. Audience and techno co-create one another — an arrival without destination: atmospheric, trance-like, droning, danceable, ecstatic.
It all began with an electric bass and his parents’ Casio SA-20 keyboard. Erdung’s insatiable curiosity for sonic expansion led him from various effect pedals and a microKorg to wide-ranging experiments with different synthesizers. Through the directness and immediacy of the Eurorack format, Erdung finally found the perfect instrument for his sound and his ever-unique, analog live techno performances. After opening for the electronic music duo Ströme, Erdung has been performing regularly as part of the band since 2023.
